Why idea validation is the key to success?
Before building an application, it's worth checking whether your idea is viable. How we do it and why it can save you tens of thousands of euros.
Every startup that failed had one thing in common: they built a product nobody wanted to buy. Validating an idea before writing code is the cheapest investment you can make.
What do we check during validation?
Market and competition
Does the problem you’re solving actually exist? How many customers experience it? How do they deal with it now? What are their current alternatives?
Willingness to pay
The most important question: would anyone pay for your solution? Conversations with potential customers before writing the first line of code are invaluable.
Technical feasibility
Is the project technically feasible within the assumed budget and timeline? What are the biggest risks?
Our validation tools
- Customer interviews: 10–15 conversations with potential users
- Competitive analysis: what the market does, where the gaps are
- Landing page MVP: a simple page collecting sign-ups, without a product
- Smoke test: advertising on the landing page measuring real interest
How much does it cost?
Idea validation is a fraction of the cost of building a full application. It’s better to spend a few thousand on validation than tens of thousands on a product without a market.
